Sofia Bowes, the Cal "walk-on" 6-0 wing from San Ramon Valley, earned a first team selection on the 2023-24 Chronicle Girls All-Metro Basketball Team. A dozen players were chosen. She also was honored as the regional POY for Contra Costa/Tri-Valley.

"The 6-foot senior averaged 16.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3 steals per game for the 28-3 Wolves, who finished third in the Chronicle's rankings. The Cal-bound wing is also one of region's top defenders and showed it during a 60-35 win over Central Section power Saint Joseph of Santa Maria. She held UCLA signee, 6-1 guard Avary Cain, the nation's # 24 recruit, to 12 points-about half of her season average."
Cal recruit, Gabrielle Abigor (Berean Christian), received Honorable Mention.
