looking at the list of signees many of them had offers from elite programs; thus a question as to "why" Cal, certainly a blue chip program?

Coaching, academics/#1 public university, location, atmosphere created by MM and the overall Cal ambiance....?

Your thoughts?

I bet each player has their own set of motivations that are listed, will be listed and are known only to them and their family. It's always going to be a combo. But my bet is that most of them primarily like the smooth Cal script and the best and one of the weirdest mascots in college sports. . Oh, and the block numbers on the football jerseies.

Ugh, that video! Man, I used to laugh at Madsen being such a typical Stanford dork when he dances…. But he's our dork now :-)

I guess someone could just ask each transfer why he picked Cal. That's what Sean Cunningham of FOX 40 Sacramento did with Andrej Stojakovic:

"I think just the relationship... how me and Coach Madsen hit it off. The relationship that he created with my family, quickly, and just the belief that he has in me, and the role he has envisioned for me. You know, I think his game plan for this upcoming year is very strong and smart."

Great interview. I love how Andrej made it clear the NBA is his goal, and he's going to do everything possible to get himself there, no matter how long it takes.

Exactly. "He's our dork" is a good line.

Now, let me get some action from the back section
We need body rockin', not perfection
Let your backbone flip but don't slip a disc
And let your spine unwind, just take a risk
I wanna do the freak until the break of dawn
Tell me party people, is that so wrong?
The ship is dockin', interlockin'
And up-rockin', electro-shockin'
We're gettin' down, computer action
Do the robotic satisfaction
All of y'all, get off the wall
Have a ball and get involved
Please give to Cal Legends at https://calegends.com/donation/ and encourage everyone you know who loves Cal sports to do it too.

To be in the Top 1% of all NIL collectives we only need around 3% of alumni to give $100/mo. OR 6% to give $50/mo. Please help spread the word. "If we don't broaden this base we're dead." - Sebastabear

First I limp to the side like my leg was broken
Shakin' and twitchin' kinda like I was smokin'
Crazy, whack, funky
People say, "You look like M.C. Hammer on crack, Humpty"
That's all right 'cause my body's in motion
It's supposed to look like a fit or a convulsion
Anyone can play this game
This is my dance, y'all, Humpty Hump's my name
No two people will do it the same
You got it down when you appear to be in pain
Humpin', funkin', jumpin'
Jig around, shakin' ya rump
And when a doo-doo chump punk points a finger like a stump
Tell him step off, I'm doin' the Hump
